Danielle Clode is a zoologist and award-winning author.
She has worked as a zookeeper and scientific interpreter, in exhibition design and academia, and spent many years as a technical editor and writing teacher.
She has written seven books, including Voyages to the South Seas, which won the 2007 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Non-fiction.
For over twenty years, Danielle has pursued Edith, seeking her in the corridors and stacks of natural history collections, in specimens and objects and archives, through her own words and in the recollection of her family, friends, and peers – she presents Edith’s story.
